French Crème Anglaise Recipes

Crisp apples, cream, eggs, and a touch of honey – ingredients likely to be found in most kitchens – can be turned into the most divine of desserts. Sauté the apples in a bit of butter until they are just tender. If you’re feeling extravagant, carefully flambé them with a splash of Calvados, an exquisite apple brandy. Finish the dish with a swirl of rich honey crème Anglaise. The tart apples combine so deliciously with the smooth, mellow honey custard sauce. It’s the perfect French dessert recipe to end a simple country-style meal. Bon appetit!
