French Honey Recipes

Thursday August 14, 2008

Honey season is in full swing all over the world right now. Drive around my little corner of the country and you’re likely to find hand-printed signs advertising “local honey” near produce markets and at the end of farm driveways. That’s what happened to me this week and I couldn’t resist buying a jar of the sweet, amber-colored blueberry honey at a little mountain farm near my house. I’ve been enjoying it spread over buttered toast in the morning. Even if you can’t find local honey in your area, the store-bought variety proves irresistible when added to French recipes.
