Sweet Quatre Epices Recipe

Tuesday October 7, 2008

Quatre épices recipe, or four spices, is traditionally pepper-based and used to season nearly everything in the French kitchen. This sweet version, sometimes dismissed as unnecessary by traditionalists, uses allspice as a substitute for pepper. The warm flavor of this spice blend makes it a fantastic match for desserts and spice breads. Bon appetit!
