This easy fresh fig spread recipe is marvelous with goat cheese and baguettes or layered into granola bars. Another creative way to serve this refrigerator fig jam is to mix a few chopped almonds into it and spoon it over yogurt for a quick, healthful breakfast or snack.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 20 fresh, ripe figs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

Process all the ingredients together in a food processor until it the mixture is completely smooth.

This fresh fig spread recipe makes approximately 1 1/2 cups of puree.
