Workspace in the French Kitchen

Good workspace is a premium requirement in kitchen design. It allows more than one person to accomplish chores at the same time, gives ample cooking and storage space, and leaves room for preparation and cooling of food. Ultimately, new kitchen design and remodeling should strive to include at least one good length of wall-mounted countertop and an island. When the budget is tight and space is limited, let an island do double-duty as a table and prep area.
